These are experiments for my 'joy' project at the moment. They're based on photographs I took at burnt island and elsewhere in scotland. To be made into screen prints on monday.

Burnt Island

This blog is meant to be for my 'art work' however, I went to Burnt island at the weekend (a sweet little coastal town east of Edinburgh) I have just started to get to grips with the camera (after years of being mystified by it). I loved the dramatic landscape and skies. This picture of sand is one of my favourites.

Worship

Some project work in development...which started off with.......spoons and ended up with Worship. hmmmm. These are roughs to be made into screenprints....in the morning. Best get to bed then.

I'm now a bit more settled into Glasgow, and have now been inducted into the screen printing facilities which means I can print away.! :)

It tends to be a bit grey up here...however this seems to have brought out my love for childlike bright primary colours! I have been particularly inspired by Miro at the moment and Cy Twombly.

I cycle everywhere here and have become obsessed with bikes around Glasgow-hence the inspiration behind these screenprints x
